Meet Joel Beckerman
Hailed as “equal parts Philip Glass and Don Draper” by Details Magazine, Joel Beckerman is an award-winning composer and producer for television. He is the founder of Man Made Music, a company specializing in sonic branding. Fast Company named him one of their “Most Creative People in Business” and Man Made Music one of their “Most Innovative Companies” in music. He created original scores for more than 50 television programs, won ASCAP’s “Most Performed” theme award for the past eight years, and has developed signature sonic branding programs for global giants such as Disney, AT&T, and Southwest Airlines. Beckerman has worked with John Legend, will.i.am, Moby, OK Go, Morgan Freeman, and the composer John Williams. He lives in New Providence, New Jersey. For more about Joel, click here.

After receiving his Master’s degree in music from NYU, touring stateside and abroad with his bands, performing in groups throughout NYC, and writing music, Dan joined the MMM team where he found a perfect fit to his passion for music. A perpetual student of all musical styles and all aspects of music creation, Dan is very much at home at MMM where his task is to oversee all production. He lives in Brooklyn and is raising two young daughters that will hopefully be the foundation of a rhythm section as they get older.

Prior to Man Made Music, at Interbrand for 7 years as Senior Director of Brand Strategy, he strengthened brands through identity, strategy, experience and employee engagement. What do you get when you take a fast-talking NYC girl, who spends all her money on music, and send her to engineering school on scholarship? A liberal arts/business graduate who falls in love with the craziness of production, of course. After 15 years of traveling the world, making music videos, commercials, live TV music/award shows, Kim knew that music for media was where she needed to be.
